YOUTH AND MUSIC: GOSPEL PERSPECTIVE

  Music has been a thing of inspiration right from inception, different genre of music has been inspiration for people, it depends on how they perceive it. Music itself is a spirit that join natural and supernatural together in the spirit realm. Different types of music has impact in one way or the other on the recipient. Different people show their interests on different music of their choice.

  Youth most especially find music more compelling than anything, music has been a tool that draw youths to messages than been spoken as words... Different kind of music such as, juju, blues, regea, Apala, Gospel, to mention but a few can statistically be view that Youth have upper viewing and listening numbers. 

  Basically in other to match trendy songs like blues and regea, Gospel music has been introduced to different tune like blues,hip hop,in other to attract the attention of youth. Most songs nowadays comprises of too much instrumentation but lost it's actual message. Why is this done??, It's nothing but to get the attention of the youth church.. the popular Yoruba says " Ijo n wonu aye, aye n wonu Ijo" this is not just a cliche but a sound of warning calling the attention of our lost genuinty of musics. Some Gospel singera at some time forget that they are ministers, leaving the real ministration and fall into pleasure and trendy

   As it's all known music is life! Music is Spirit! Music is powerful! It commands! It compel, it bless souls.. so also it can loose relevance when it is used abusively. 

  Our Orthodox songs can still be relevant if we present it in a Godly way not adding slangs

Think about the message, get the lyrics right, don't be fooled, don't be carried away. Music can be Orthodox and still be spiritually in vogue
