IS TERTIARY EDUCATION A SCAM?

Education has gained universal acceptance, both at the elementary, and high school levels, as well as the tertiary education. 

In lieu of this, there are controversies that seem to disregard the essence of HIGHER INSTITUTIONS' EDUCATION.

 The popular opinion among young people these days is that; high schools, and ordinary level institutions should be enough and considered the necessary education needed to do most of the exploits in the society, while Higher institutions' education should only be considered as added advantage for those who deem it fit and needed, and not a prerequisite to greater heights.

  It has been noted as a backing to this controversial ideology that there are some people that are skilled with certain capabilities, and can do most things, even right from their high schools, and these people should be granted access and opportunities to perform their abilities in various sectors of the society even if they have not attended or been certified by a tertiary institution.

  The importance of higher institutions on the other hand cannot be overemphasized, which comes with exposure ,maturity, experience and also the knowledge that is above secondary school, that it brings. Most people expand their sense of reasoning and know where they belong when they get to higher institutions because, they get to face crucial challenges and make some life decisions in which their brain can fathomand with better logical reasoning.

  In this report, we got to know people's perspective on; IF HIGHER INSTITUTIONS ARE SCAM, OR NOT. A proper feasibility study was conducted to know people's opinions on the said topic: 

Respondent 1: "Higher institutions are not scam but to some extent, if we look at the way our government prioritizes education( giving education less attention) and some discrimination among institutions, we can then say it's a scam. You know, abroad, a person with college education can work in any organization or government organization that is relevant to his or her major... I still don't know why Africans establish and admit thousands into polytechnics, colleges, vocational and technical schools, and yet discriminate when it comes to offering jobs... The question is, what's the essence of creating them?"

 Another opinion said: 

"Discrimination can make most people think tertiary education is a scam especially those that goes to polytechnic and the likes"

Respondents 3: "No, it's not! Na our government.."

Another opinion: "Why can't I stop in SSS3, when I can simply opt in for vocational training and be a boss of my own after graduation, while I should continue giving money to the government when there is no job in return."

Respondent 4: "Higher institutions are never a scam, it makes us stand out and reason exceptionally from others, even after learning trade, performing my duties will be different as an entrepreneur because I have different experience and exposure."

  In these opinions, we get to understand people's views and the impact of the Government in making Higher institutions education seems to be a scam, by not providing necessary job opportunities for the graduates. 

  Most people that are doing great in life are not all higher institutions graduates from the beginning but they later got the certificate and the long run because they know its' essence. It is not safe to say; HIGHER INSTITUTIONS' EDUCATION IS A SCAM OR NOT...
